Sustainability was a key element of GDM Architect’s design for the project with both buildings targeting a BREEAM “Very Good” rating. To help achieve this, Encon Insulation supplied EcoTherm Eco-Versal to be installed as part of the floor build-ups in both buildings.
''Our aim at Hermitage Court was to deliver top class office space which was also more sustainable. We installed Eco-Versal as it provided the perfect combination of a straightforward product with strong thermal performance, backed by excellent technical support.
A spokesman from the Gallagher Group''
Eco-Versal delivers insulation performance for the lifetime of the building. When covered with a suitable floor covering, the boards are capable of resisting a uniformly distributed load of < 1.5 kN/m2 and a concentrated load of < 1.4 kN. The buildings included rag stone cladding sourced from Gallagher’s quarry situated adjacent to the business centre. The buildings have proved to be a success with Unit H pre-let to Havas Shared Services Limited.
