To calculate the Rd Value the λ value of the product and the thickness of the material is needed. The λ value is the warmth transmission of a material. Each material has its own warmth transmission. The lower the value, the worse the material transports warmth, so the better the material insulates.
EcoTherm has a lambda value of only 0.023 – 0.027 W/(m.K).
For example:
By using an 82mm thick board you can receive a Rc value of just 4,01 (m².K)/W.
To achieve the same value with traditional materials you need about 150 mm.
