Eco-Taper - Thermal Insulation for tapered roofs

EcoTherm® Eco-Taper thermal insulation for flat roofs has a tapered polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core for pond-free flat roofs.

By necessity flat roofs are never flat; the upper surface of the roof has to be tapered to allow proper and even drainage of surface water. In the past such drainage has been provided by the structure of the roof being tapered towards rainwater outlets, but subsequent settlement has often negated the minimal fall provided. The net effect has been ponding of water on the roof surface and rapid deterioration of the waterproofing membrane.


Pond-free flat roofs

The special cut to fall profile of Eco-Taper ensures a pond-free flat roof. Plus our new pre mitred hips and valleys (see example design) reduces cutting, waste and money whilst factory cutting offers a superior finish to any roofing scheme.  Available in 1:60 falls and 1:80 falls for the following applications:-

  • Single ply fully adhered
  • Single ply mechanically fixed
  • Bitumen compatible single ply
  • Torch on
  • Roll & pour
  • Asphalt
