Muddy Fundraising for Cancer Research UK

EcoTherm Insulation employees have been busy fundraising this month, raising over £700 for Cancer Research UK.

Sales Office Administrator Christina English and Campaign Manager Sarah Jacklin not only tacked a 5K run, but braved mud and cold water throughout the Pretty Muddy Race for Life in order to fundraise for Cancer Research UK.  The event was held in EcoTherm's home town of Basildon, Essex and the obstacle course contained mud pools, tunnels, rope A frames, cargo nets crawls, space hoppers (yes, space hoppers) and a giant inflatable muddy slide. Not wanting to let their sponsors down, the girls successfully completed all obstacles and were covered in mud by the finish line (although Sarah looks suspiciously cleaner than Christina!).

Between them over £700 has been raised for the charity so far, with sponsors continuing to donate after the event.  Sarah and Christina were just 2 of 4,600 competitors on the day that took part in this year’s Basildon Pretty Muddy Race for Life.

Sarah commented, “Both Christina and I are overwhelmed with everyone's generosity.  We have both hit and exceeded our fundraising targets and really appreciate every penny kindly donated to Cancer Research UK by our friends, families and colleagues.”

Well done to Sarah and Christina for their fundraising efforts.  The girls are still accepting donations, if you are interesting in supporting them and raising the total please contact Sarah Jacklin on or 01268 597 202.
