EcoTherm moves in with major house builder

EcoTherm has packed even more insulation ‘lambda’ value into every millimetre of thickness. The step has been welcomed by the Gladedale Group who are using EcoTherm Eco-Versal boards to insulate pitched roofs and floors and Eco-Cavity boards for partial fill cavity wall insulation in their new developments. Both products are BBA approved and have a thermal conductivity or lambda (λ) value of 0.022W/mK. These impressive credentials, combined with expert sales and technical support made EcoTherm the number one choice.

Offering one of the highest insulation values from the minimum thickness of material, EcoTherm’s thin PIR rigid thermal insulation will allow the house builders to increase a new home’s thermal efficiency in line with the latest regulations without increasing insulation thickness - saving construction cost and usable space. EcoTherm’s solus supply contract with Gladedale covers nationwide developments by the Group’s residential division, including Bett Homes in Scotland, Ben Bailey Homes in Yorkshire, North West and the Midlands, Country & Metropolitan Homes in South East England and the Group’s premier housing brand, Manor Kingdom.

EcoTherm’s Eco-Versal is a 2400mm x 1200mm multi-functional board that can be used for insulating warm and cold pitched roofs, floors and ceilings.  Eco-Cavity provides thermal insulation for cavity walls and is supplied in a board size of 1200mm x 450mm.  Both boards are faced with a high performance aluminium foil on both sides for enhanced thermal resistance and are manufactured from CFC- and HCFC-free grades of material which ensure zero ozone depletion potential (ZERO ODP) and a global warming potential (GWP) factor of 3 which comfortably surpasses the target of 5.  Their indefinite life - when correctly installed - ensures a highly sustainable insulation solution for both new build and refurbishment applications.

Like all EcoTherm PIR insulation, Eco-Versal and Eco-Cavity are lightweight and compact for ease of handling and installation and have high compressive strength and durability, which ensures that their energy saving properties remain undiminished over the complete life of a building.
