Record breaking insulation
The Guinness Book of Records has declared the flower auction halls in Allsmeer Holland the largest commercial building in the entire world. EcoTherm supplied 40.000m² of PIR insulation for the building of the 999,000 m² complex.
In a roof with such dimensions it is essential that the insulation efficiency to weight ratio is the best possible and EcoTherm insulation provided the answer by offering the optimum lambda value relative to thickness and board weight.
A second important factor in the selection of PIR is the requirement to maintain an internal ‘controlled climatic conditions environment’ for the health and protection of living produce being traded within. EcoTherm PIR insulation is least susceptible to moisture, unlike many of the alternative systems, which when coupled with its inherent fire resistance rating, made it the ideal product for this development.
