EcoPark

EcoPark is a new housing development by Gallians Housing Association which is currently being constructed in South East London. The development encompasses some 200 homes built with energy conservation in mind. EcoTherm, manufacturers of Rigid Urethane Foam insulation products, have been specified to provide the thermal insulation boards for the pitched roofs.

Rigid Insulation Boards have themselves been the focus of a report entitled "insulation for Sustainability" which has identified zero ODP non-fibrous insulation boards as being amongst the most ecologically responsible in terms of long term performance. The report was researched by XCO2 conisbee, a group of acknowledged construction consultants, sponsored by BING (Federation of European Rigid Polyurethane Foam Associations) of which EcoTherm is an active member.

The EcoPark development ulitises many energy saving construction products and systems. Later this year Gallians will be opening the development with a ’Naked House’ which is a typical example of the housing with cut-away walls, floors and roofs to show the component parts of the construction. EcoTherm will be there.
