Kyoto and EcoTherm
The Kyoto-protocol was created in 1997 in the Japanese town Kyoto, and regulates the reduction of the expulsion of CO2 emission.
With the agreement industrial countries agreed to reduce the CO2 emission in the period 2008-2015 with 5% in comparison with the level of 1990.
The percentages differ in each country, depending on the economic power and current expulsion. Within the EU the percentage is determined for each member. The UK is currently working on reducing their green house gas emissions by 12.5% below their 1990 levels.
